Zillers (Roof Garden): A charming boutique hotel boasting a rooftop terrace and multi-purpose Roof Garden with industrial details, emerald green marble and amazing views of the Cathedral and Acropolis. During the day, Zillers serves light meals and snacks; however, in the evening the space is transformed into the culinary realm of a famous chef, who offers two contemporary tasting menus in which he takes Greek ingredients in exciting new directions. Zillers Roof Garden has been the recipient of many awards, including a Michelin star in 2022!

Tip from a Local: The wine list is impeccable and the cocktails irresistible. We suggest enjoying a cocktail before dinner, and then pairing your meal with wine. Choose one of the 2 tasting menus and enjoy!

GB Roof Garden: Located on the 8th floor of the Grande Bretagne hotel, this elegant award-winning rooftop restaurant offers uninterrupted views of the Acropolis, the Parliament and Lycabettus hill. The menu is rooted in Mediterranean culinary traditions, updated with modern haute cuisine techniques. The creativity of the chef is inexhaustible! The restaurant’s wine cellar is very impressive, replete with around 800 wine labels from Greece and Abroad.

Tip from a Local: Come for dinner and ask for a table at the edge of the terrace. We suggest you trust the Sommelier’s wine pairing recommendations and do NOT MISS the desserts. Everything is delicious, and high quality, but if we were to offer a suggestion, do try: Linguini with nduja, garum sauce, botargo and lime, Grilled calamari, smoked fish roe sauce and crunchy potatoes, Grilled fish of the day on charcoal, steamed vegetables with extra virgin olive oil and lemon. Meat lovers should choose the ribeye when available.

Milos (Seafood Restaurant): Recognized as one of the world’s finest Mediterranean seafood restaurants, Milos is located in the heart of the historic center of Athens, on the ground floor of the city’s very first Gastronomy Boutique Hotel.  The restaurant’s philosophy is simple: They are devoted to cooking fish perfectly. It is their life’s work. They select the finest fresh raw ingredients and cook with minimum interference in order to preserve the impeccable natural taste. The Restaurant’s Hall is imposing but not vast, modern but not cold. The combination of marble and blond “untreated” wood, fine lighting and elegant artwork (such as the fantastic fish-light “net” lamp) create a warm environment with high aesthetic appeal.

Tip from a Local: Order a whole fish, ORDER A WHOLE FISH. (Two people can easily share 1kg fish, if moderate with appetizers.) If you have room, do try: Fresh calamari (squid) cooked to perfection (every seafood restaurant/taverna offers calamari, and the vast majority is average at best. In Milos, we have enjoyed some of the best calamari in our lives!), grilled octopus with fava beans, their legendary tomato salad, and last but not least, the smoked eel. It is an expensive restaurant, but if you are looking for an upscale experience, you will remember this meal forever.
